Presumed Innocent on Apple TV+ is one of the more recent series on the streaming platform and has been all the hype because of the lead, Jake Gyllenhaal. Admittedly, Gyllenhaal is one of the most popular actors in Hollywood, and a series with him at the center comes with a lot of promise, so far, things have been good when it comes to Presumed Innocent and the first four episodes.
Each episode of the suspense drama has managed to end on a cliffhanger, which has left the viewers wanting more. Apple TV+ continues to release episodes weekly, which also helps keep the suspense alive when it comes to Presumed Innocent.
In this review, we will look at some of the key moments of the episode, so make sure you stick around!
Is Rusty in More Trouble?
Presumed Innocent revolves around the murder of Carolyn Polhemus and the main suspect in the case, Rusty Sabich. Both of them worked together and were involved in an intimate affair.
As more details about Carolyn’s murder are unraveled in the series, all fingers point to Rusty, and it is getting harder for him to prove his innocence, even to the audience.

Episode 4 of Presumed Innocent continues to showcase substantial evidence piling up against Rusty, and frankly, he is also making matters worse for himself, despite the support of a few people, who might just drift away from him soon.
The episode begins with Rusty and his wife, Barbara, talking to their son Kyle, and learning about the fact that he was aware of his father’s affair. Kyle is sent to therapy, while Rusty continues to struggle with himself, and the case.

While Presumed Innocent Episode 4 wasn’t the most interesting episode so far, it definitely had a few moments that left us looking forward to what’s about to happen next, so the episode certainly gets the job done.
This series most certainly isn’t a background series, and one must pay attention to every little detail because while all roads lead to the same destination, there are several pitstops, and it’s important to put the pieces together to understand more about the murder and more importantly, Rusty’s case.
While Jake Gyllenhaal is often the star of the series, plenty of credit must go to Ruth Negga, who plays the role of his wife and has consistently delivered an excellent performance from the get-go. Peter Sarsgaard, who appears to play the villain on Presumed Innocent, is also an underrated star of the series.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger after more evidence is found against Rusty, with his DNA under Carolyn’s nail, and this ends him into a rather angry phase, in that moment, there’s also a loud bang on his door, and matters escalate quickly.
Conclusion
Things are not looking good for Rusty Sabich, and we’re just as curious as you are about what’s going to happen next. So, make sure you keep a lookout for our reviews and previews of the coming episodes!
