What’s next for Rusty Sabich has been one of the more pressing questions of the Apple TV+ series, Presumed Innocent. However, with the cliffhanger in episode 6, the question remained – what’s next for Raymond Horgan? Lucky for the viewers, episode 7 has plenty of answers, and that’s exactly what one needs from the penultimate episode. And yes, this means Presumed Innocent has almost reached its end.
For the penultimate episode, “The Witness” stood true to its name and made sure that the viewers were entertained from start to finish, and every point of the way. Presumed Innocent has thoroughly maintained the quality of suspense for what’s ultimately a whodunit, and once again, Jake Gyllenhaal shines through with an award-winning performance. Here’s our review of the latest episode!
Is Raymond Horgan Okay?
Presumed Innocent episode 7 picks up from the gripping cliffhanger that had everyone’s mouth agape, and everyone who picked Raymond has their favorite lawyer and character and will be happy to know that he lives, and lives well.
However, now that Rusty is a hero in the courtroom for his friend, all the pressure is on Tommy Molto and his next possible move when it comes to the riveting trial.

In a shocking, yet slightly expected turn of events, Rusty decides to represent himself as lead counsel in his case, replacing his best friend, Raymond. One must remember that this twist takes place within the first ten minutes of the episode, which means things can only get better from there, and that’s exactly what happens.
Rusty defending himself as lead counsel has been one of the best compilation of scenes in Presumed Innocent so far, and we’re thrilled that it was left for the penultimate episode. It was exactly what the series needed, and it panned out beautifully, especially because of the talented A-list Hollywood actor, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Presumed Innocent episode 7 ends with Tommy Molto returning home and a shocking surprise waiting for him. Now the question remains, who really killed Carolyn Polhemus? Make sure you keep a lookout for our review of the final episode of the Apple TV+ series next week!
