Land of Women Episodes 1 & 2 Review: A Breath of Fresh Air!

Eva Longoria starrer Land of Women has officially landed on Apple TV+, replacing Dark Matter which concluded with its 9th episode. Land of Women stays true to its title and this series, so far, has presented itself as a breath of fresh air in the midst of crime, sci-fi, and other dominating genres that have taken over different streaming platforms.

The first two episodes of Land of Women are now streaming on Apple TV+ and have plenty to offer, and we aren’t just talking about Longoria’s performance that switches between Spanish and English in the most charming way possible.

Two episodes simply aren’t enough, and we can’t wait to see how this series unfolds as we see some stunning work from Victoria Bazua, Carmen Maura, and Santiago Cabrera.

Gala Finds Herself in a Different World

Gala, played by the talented and gorgeous Eva Longoria, is a New York socialite. At the beginning of the first episode, she is seen buying some of the most stunning clothes for the opening of her own wine business.

She’s truly living the “Sex and the City” life, with her husband by her side, who has helped her business too. However, this is short-lived, which eventually drives the narrative of Land of Women into its main plot.

Gala soon realizes that her husband owes some people 15 million dollars, and she’s forced to uproot her life in New York, take her mother and daughter, and essentially flee to Catalonia, all the way to Spain. Gala chooses to take them to her mother’s old hometown, where the series begins.

Land of Women is an easy breezy watch, and it is for anyone and everyone who loves a good comedy-drama. Time and again, Longoria stuns the audience with her performance, ranging from an angry lady to a doting daughter and a caring mother.

We see so many different sides to one character, and it’s only the beginning of the series.

So far, Land of Women is off to a great start, with plenty of moments to look forward to at every nook and corner. The series and the plot are also supported by many flashbacks that give a glimpse into Gala’s life and her mother and daughter’s as the audience follows their stories in this series.

It is wholesome, worrisome, and a little bit of everything, and we are intrigued about what this series has in store for us next.

As far as Land of Women Episode 1 and 2 goes, one can tell that there are going to be many twists and turns coming along, and also a potential love interest for Gala, who has already been introduced in the first episode, and yes, we are talking about Amat.

Gala might not belong to this small town just yet, but in just a matter of two episodes her character arc has developed, and the only way is forward.
