Episode 2 of Snowpiercer Season 4 begins with Audrey’s narration, as she reflects on her duty to warn of the impending insurgency while being transported to New Eden. This sets the scenario for a flashback to nine months ago, when Melanie and the others on Snowpiercer were in danger, unknowingly aware of the important happenings ahead.
The episode takes place three months after the trains leave, with no communication from New Eden, leaving Melanie concerned about her daughter Alex’s safety, yet Alex is okay.
If you’re someone who loves the show as much as we do and is wondering what happened in the most recent episode, read on to know more about the second episode of Snowpiercer.

Audrey’s Warning and the Unfolding Chaos in Snowpiercer
A key event occurs when a rocket is launched and explodes, causing Till and Ben to inspect the remains. They are attacked but manage to return to Snowpiercer, only to find that the Peacekeeping group led by Admiral Anton Milius has taken control.
This brings us to the last episode’s conclusion, where Ben and Till are held at gunpoint, resulting in Till’s wounded as she attempts to call for aid, shattering the fragile peace they had formed.
Audrey’s fast thinking and the use of the panic button alert Melanie to the imminent danger. Despite her efforts to negotiate, the Admiral’s strong posture leads her to submit, leaving Melanie and Ben isolated.
A sad message follows, alerting passengers that individuals in First and Second Class will be temporarily transferred to Third Class, under duress. Till, despite her wounded, wishes to counterattack, but her debilitated state limits her capacity to do so.
As Till receives medical attention from Winston and Dr. Pelton, the Admiral directs the train east to Djibouti, a major military hub. Melanie and Ben believe the new tracks were quickly built for this purpose.
With limited time, they decide to damage the train’s progress by grabbing a guard’s gun and going to the control room. Meanwhile, Audrey is interrogated by the Admiral, but Melanie and Ben can reach Ruth’s headquarters, where they previously rebelled against Wilford.

The group tries to slow the train down by pressing the brakes, but the Admiral responds by locking 100 passengers, including Audrey and Till, in a carriage with a hole in the roof, exposing them to cold temperatures.
A daring Hospitality worker informs Melanie about poorly guarded places, implying a possible escape route through the airshaft. Melanie’s idea includes setting a failsafe to flush out the cold air by rewiring the engine, which is a dangerous procedure that requires her to climb outside.
Nima’s Proposal and the Future of Snowpiercer
As Melanie executes her plan, Audrey gathers the passengers, and Till repairs the hole in the ceiling with a homemade bandage, buying valuable time despite the freezing weather.
Melanie approaches the control room and opens the doors, only to be confronted by Nima, who discloses his past, which involves the US Air Force and a team of scientists working to repair environmental blunders.
Melanie is suspicious of Nima’s harsh approach, which he justifies with his desire to dock and swap tracks.

Melanie and Ben are intrigued by Nima’s concept of using Snowpiercer to connect warm locations around the world, perhaps eliminating the need for trains. While the proposal promises a better future without a military presence, the couple remains skeptical, unable to fully trust the Admiral but optimistic for Layton’s and the other’s safety.
Nine months later, unrest develops aboard Snowpiercer, prompting Till to mount a rescue mission to New Eden in an attempt to foil the Admiral’s plan. Audrey, in a desperate attempt to assist, takes Till’s place but fails to arrive on time, leaving Layton determined to reclaim his daughter Liana.
