Marvel Cinematic Universe is all set to move forward after some shocking and exciting announcements at the San Diego Comic-Con. While there was plenty of focus on Avengers: Doomsday, and rightfully so, right now, we’re looking forward to the first MCU movie of 2025, Captain America: Brave New World.

Sam Wilson aka Captain America
When the mantel was passed on to Sam Wilson in Avengers: Endgame, we knew that meant he would have to give up his Falcon suit and take on the shield to protect the world, and that’s exactly what he will do in Captain America: Brave New World.
Anthony Mackie will be reprising his role as Sam Wilson, a journey that first began with Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and we’re now more than ready to see him do justice to the coveted Captain America title, especially after a catching a glimpse of him in the teaser.
Joaquín Torres aka The Falcon
Joaquín Torres played by Danny Ramirez stole plenty of hearts with his MCU debut in the series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and since then, fans have patiently been waiting to see more of him, and that time is almost here.
As Sam Wilson takes on a new title, his previous title of The Falcon will be passed on to Joaquín Torres in Captain America: Brave New World. Ramirez was also present at the San Diego Comic-Con and he will definitely be a fan favorite in an already star-studded cast!
Thaddeus Ross aka Red Hulk
This character might just be one of the most important in Captain America: Brave New World, second to Captain America, of course. The legendary actor Harrison Ford is stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thaddeus Ross, the President of the United States, creating a direct link between him and Sam Wilson.
However, this isn’t the only exciting part of the character, because later it was also confirmed that Ross will be Red Hulk, which is something the fans had theorized for some time now!
Seth Voelker aka Sidewinder
Giancarlo Esposito’s inclusion in Captain America: Brave New World was known for some time now, however, in what capacity was a big question mark. While fans had plenty of theories, they were all put to rest at the San Diego Comic-Con 2024, where it was announced that Esposito would be playing the role of Seth Voelker.
Voelker or Sidewinder is the leader of the Serpent Society in Marvel Comics, where he also wears a cloak that helps him teleport, and it will be interesting to see if this detail is added in the movie.
Samuel Sterns aka The Leader
Almost nobody was expecting Tim Blake Nelson to reprise his role as Samuel Sterns after his performance in The Incredible Hulk, but now that it is actually happening, one can’t help but be excited for the same.
Nelson’s expertise as an actor paired with his familiarity with the role will work in favor of Captain America: Brave New World.
Sam Wilson will have plenty of villains to fight in the upcoming movie, and one of the more intelligent ones will be Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader. It will be exciting to see how different this characterization is from the 2008 movie!
