Marigaby Tamayo and her family simply can’t seem to catch a break, and that has been evident in the last three episodes. Midnight Family Episode 4 continues to showcase the hardships of the protagonist and her loved ones, as they attempt to recover from the devasting earthquake in Episode 3.

In the latest installment of the family drama, Marigaby faces new challenges as her worlds clash, resulting in serious consequences. Nevertheless, the series continues to remain engaging, and here’s our review of Midnight Family Episode 4. There will be some spoilers ahead!

Troubles Continue to Rise for the Tamayo Family

Midnight Family Episode 4 starts with an uplifting church service, although, by the look on Ramon’s face, he’d rather be anywhere but at the church, especially since the priest praises Ramon for his work.

While Marcus revels in his father’s discomfort, there’s a shift in energy after the opening credits end and we are shown a glimpse of the aftermath following the devasting earthquake.

As the entire city learns more about the earthquake, and thanks to social media, people also know about how Marigaby and Marcus helped people after the disaster, including the faculty at her medical school. As Marigaby is given credit for helping people, her professor also makes it known that she could face expulsion for practicing medicine outside school.

The Tamayo family faces a lot of different and difficult decisions in Episode 4. Marigaby is forced to make a choice between working the ambulance with her family or studying at school.

Ramon is conflicted about his new living quarters while the city fixes his home because of the earthquake. And Marcus has to choose with his girlfriend regarding her pregnancy. It is tense all over, and it only gets worse.

Marcus and Marigaby are extremely centric to the narrative when it comes to the saving lives part of the series, which is most certainly a big part too. In every episode, there’s a different devastation, which isn’t to watch, but continues to show how skilled Marcus and Marigaby are, and how much Julio wants to be like them. As for Ramon, he has to continue to take it easy for the sake of his health.

Midnight Family Episode 4 takes a shocking turn when Marigaby learns that there’s a room available for Ramon’s surgery, and as the whole family drives to the hospital, he is prepared with his goodbyes. Thanks to Raul, Marigaby is allowed inside during the surgery. The episode ends with a tear-jerker as we patiently wait to learn what the future holds for Ramon.
