In June 2023, Disney+ and Marvel released Secret Invasion, a mini-series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starring some of the biggest names in movies and television, including Emilia Clarke, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Olivia Colman, Martin Freeman, and Kingsley Ben-Adir amongst others.
Since then, the franchise has released other series and movies, some of which gained plenty of popularity among fans, and others, not so much.

Has Secret Invasion Been Renewed for Another Season 2?
So far, the series has not been renewed for another season, and the chances of it happening do seem unlikely since Marvel has mapped out their plans for the next couple of years.
Most series belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe didn’t fare too well and the numbers were rather disappointing for the popular franchise.
WandaVision and Loki were some of the better titles in the television format, but sadly, Secret Invasion scored 52% on Rotten Tomatoes for comparison, Loki was 87% and WandaVision at 92%). Despite the subpar and unsatisfactory numbers, the ending of Secret Invasion left some room to explore another season, and for what it’s worth, no news is good news…sometimes.
The Skrull invasion in the series left several unanswered questions, even after six episodes and the demise of Gravik. We also remember Armor Wars, another MCU project about War Machine, which should serve as a possible sequel to Secret Invasion, however, there have been no announcements made about the same, and we’re wondering if it will be lost in oblivion or scraped, must like Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Secret Invasion Director’s Throws Light on Season 2
In an exclusive interview with Variety, Secret Invasion director Ali Selim (Sweet Land, Mad Women) was asked about Season 2, and while Selim didn’t have the answer everyone was looking for, at least it wasn’t a “no.”
In the interview, Selim asked whether the last episode was a series finale or season finale, he said, “Oh, yeah, I would say ‘season’ finale. Who knows, right?”
In addition, Selim also admitted that he didn’t know anything about Secret Invasion Season 2 and whether or not it was happening, but he did add that he thinks there are “some great threads that could be run down.” So truly, we never know!
